CHILDREN and STUDENT MINISTRY
At Soul Harvest Church we love kids! Our goal is to make Jesus a lasting part of every child’s life. We strive to build relationships with kids so they feel that church is a place they belong.
FIRST TIME CHECK-IN
Want to speed up first time check-in? Click on the button below to fill out the form with your contact information and children’s names to help expedite the process. Visit our manned check-in station at your first visit. So we can welcome you and print your children’s name tags.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
New to SHC? Let us help you register your child. For assistance, go to the Check-In Station located down the stairs from the café. Regular attenders can utilize one of several Self Check-In stations located around the foyer. For the safety of your children, check-in is required each service.
For the safety and security of your children, our Children’s Wing is locked down at the beginning of service. If your child’s number appears on the visual screen and you need to get him/her from class, or if you need to leave the service before dismissal, an usher stationed in the foyer will help you communicate with your child’s classroom.Nursery, Toddlers, and King’s Kids will be checked in to class prior to service. Elementary + Student Ministries will be dismissed after worship where their teachers will escort them to their classrooms.
Each classroom will have age appropriate activities and teaching of the Word of God.
After service is dismissed, infants – 4th grade will need to be checked out by a parent at their classroom.
How do you help kids that have difficulties getting dropped off and transitioning to the classroom?
We have found over the years that it is best to drop them off and let a trained leader help them adjust to their classroom routine. However, you know your child best, so if this is a continued challenge after several weeks of trying, please ask to speak with a leader to help brainstorm the best way for your child to transition.
How do you contact parents when they are in the main sanctuary?
For the safety and security of your children, our Children’s Wing is locked down at the beginning of and during service. If your child’s number appears on the visual screen and you need to get him/her from class, or if you need to leave the service before dismissal, an usher stationed in the foyer will help you communicate with your child’s classroom.
Who can pick up my child?
Only parents or the adult chaperone that brought them to church will be able to pick up the child after service. Leaders will match the code on the child’s tag to the adult’s tag.
What if a lose my parent tag?
If you misplace or lose your parent tag, please show identification of your identity at child pick up and we will look up your child in our system to see who checked them in and who is authorized to pick them up. If the information matches what we have in our system, we will release your child.
Can my child come to class if they are dealing with symptoms?
Children must be symptom free from the following (without medication) for at least 24 hours before entering the classroom:
- Fever of 100 or higher
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Conjunctivitis (pink eye or other infection)
- Rash
- Nasal drainage which is green or yellow
